Henry made a comment about the rumour that this could be the last Glasto this year. Whether or not that is true, I feel that we are seeing a decline in the number of “MegaFests” huge festies of 30,000 plus costing a squiilion quid to get in.

There is a feeling when I speak to people that the smaller more intimate 3 dayer with a definate theme such as the growing green festies or the solar gatherings and a crowd of 5000 to 10000 is becoming more popular.

I personally don’t want to be the spec at the back of 25000 people (Mostly 2 high! why do girls always get the best view on the back of some guy) and prefer to be among a smaller gathering of people who can actually see the faces of the acts on stage. Festivals such as The green man, cornbury, cropredy and solfest are the ideal sizes. and the acts who appear at these events do so for the right reasons. To build a rapport and fanbase is a critical part of being a band or act that has longevity and the festy scene is not a cash cow for the groups but instead it is a way of thanking existing fans and gathering new ones.

We shall be hunting out the more fun and eclectic festivals to attend this year and hopefully some of you lovely folk will attend with us.

Love and Peace

Fair times ahead.

Weyhay!

The shout of happy is to celebrate spending more money. We have just booked two more festival for this summer. The first one is the Accoustic festival of Britain with such acts as Fairport Convention, Jethro Tull, Donovan and so many more. We are also attending the RocknRoots festival in Hereford, with such lumimaries as Steve Cropper, Walter Trout, Marillion, Curved Air and my personal faves The Wurzels! I am also pleased to see this years folk award winner Rachel Unthank will be attending.

The nice thing about these festies is that they are doing day passes for £39, which means you could come along and see Fairport and Jethro Tull plus tons of others without having to camp.

Camden

Gosh! Camden market got burned and an Aussie kept his wife in a barrel for 23 years http://uk.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnoughNews/idUKSYD4654420080209?feedType=RSS&feedName=oddlyEnoughNews

Rosie and the merman are going back on the market in a couple of weeks. We went to visit Grantham market today and were overwhelmed by the amount of folk who missed us and wanted us back. We will be back after we have visited the Boat and caravan show at the NEC

Love and peace
